| RC motorcycle ?
I'm thinking about getting one of these but had some questions. If you have one, 1. what brand is it 2. like/dislike about it 3. do they keep your interest (are they fun for more than a couple times). I saw a Venom bike at the hobby shop and it looked cool. I have a 1:1 bike and would love to get into these but don't want to blow the money if others don't like them. Let me know what you think. Thanks alot.

I read an article in RCCA about the Venom bike. Lito Reyes tested it, he is a big rc motorcycle guy. It was a positive review, I don't have the mag anymore or I would scan it. The nice thing about them is they use 1/18 scale motors and esc's. So for a little over a hundo you could set it up brushless. Thats what Lito did in his review and he said it was a wheely machine on lipo. Made me want to go buy one.

I had one of the first Thunder Tiger ones. It was OK, hard to learn to drive and mine was put together very poorly. I ran it maybe 5 times before I sold it. Again, this was a long time ago. Hopefully the tech has improved on them...it used to be pretty piss-poor.

I have had a couple TT bikes and they were OK. My suggestion would be to get the Venom bike. Their size makes it easier to find spots to run and they work good on a 1/10 scale onroad track.

I have the Koyosho HOR and it is a nice bike. If I were to get another bike, it'd be the OTO!!! That is one helluva nice kit! I run the OTO tires on my HOR and they are nice and sticky! Last edited by JeremyH; 04-08-2009 at 09:50 AM. |

hell yeah, that OTO bike is bad a$$!!! i used to have a TT and i found that the 1/5th scale bikes are just a little too big most of the time. if i pick up another it will be one of the 1/8th scale bikes (HOR, OTO, or Venom). i wouldn't mind have one of those cheap 1/12th silverlit bikes to mess around with either but it would take quite a bit of modding to be any good. |

Wow that Otto bike is nice, all aluminium parts, brushless motor and esc. Nice video to show the size difference and wheelie power!!! Kind of silly looking rider how it is a two piece lexan part. Yeah, alittle expensive though just to start off. Thanks

Yeah, the OTO bike is on my wishlist but a little much for someone just starting on bikes.
