| What Boats do you have and would recommend?
I have been wanting to pick up a boat for a while, but haven't yet. I am looking to spend somewhere around $100 bucks, so I know I have a handfull of options. What kind of boats do you guys have and what would you recommend as a starter boat? I have looked at the Traxxas Blast, and the only downside is no reverse Have looked at the aquacraft Hammer and like it so far Have looked at the Tower Turbo Vee, and for the price it looks good. |

for 100, your buying a glorified wal-mart toy. ive played with a turbo vee, decent boat, of course not fast, but enjoyable on a nice sunday after noon at a park pond chasing the ducks. check out places like bananahobby.com this is one of the fastest boats for under $100 ive played with http://www.bananahobby.com/1389.html also look up one called "Reef Racer" its tiny but for some reason a ton of fun, also submersable |

That's the exact same boat i have, the electronics are less than stellar, but that's to be expected for the price, it has twin 380 motors, it goes okey around 20-22 mph , it's fun stock, but i took it apart and i am looking for a speedo for it and looking into faster motors for it.

I have the Mini Rio. We take that to the "familly" beach to play with. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXTHM4**&P=ML The SuperVee27 is my other boat. It's not allowed at that beach. |

Yup, i would definetly go for the Sv 27, but like the op said around $100, IMHO his best bet would be the aquacraft hammer, for quality and parts availability.

When I saw the AquaCraft Alligator Tours Airboat up at HobbyTown in Concord I new I had to have it. It's the perfect redneck boat to take with my up to the Delta and run on the river. I'm going to swap the nitro motor out for a brushless system. |
