| "ShowTime" Drag Truck build up!
Well guys, I picked up this chassis from a member on here the other week. He had this chassis and a 57 Chevy tubed chassis as well. I tried to get both! (If you have the other one, PM me I want it!) I knew from the start that I wanted this to be a drag truck! I have several drag cars, Pro Stock, Pro Mod, and Funny. I'm picking up a new body for it tomorrow at the LHS. They just happened to have another Chevy body that was on this one. First I dug out my wheels and tires and got them mounted up. For power I went with a Castle 7700kv motor I modded up a heat sink with a Novak fan for extra cooling for it. I tossed the plastic bushings for some Boca Bearings to smooth things out ESC is a Mamba Max. I still have to hook up the BEC as I want all the juice going to the motor. (I know a lot of you guys like to run a switch for power but I've lost 2 cars because they melted with the throttle wide open! So it's ESC from now on in my drag cars!) She will be running off a Flight Power 3C lipo. 1345mAh 28C 37.7 burst. Castle says to only run a 2C with the 7700 I know. But I have ran the 7700 with a 4C for short runs like in drag and it's fine I modded a Integy wheelie bar for now till the ladder bar I ordered from Team Walburn gets here. I still have a few details to finish up but here is where she is at now. Whatcha think? |

He put down about 9" thick of pinestraw at the end of the run off (Loose pinestraw). And he used gardening tubing for rails on the sides, like you would put around a garden. It's about 5"tall and goes in the ground about 4" or so. So all in all it looks just like a pro track so far! I'll be looking for some 1.9's to start with and hope to get in the 1.7's if I can.

I've been working my butt off trying to get projects laying around finished that are non crawler RC's. Right now I'm finishing up a Mugan MBX5 brushless conversion that was started a year ago! The conversion kit will be here Wed I'll start a thread on that one tonight also. It has one of the sickest paint jobs you will ever see on a MBX5!
