thanks
getting it in a trade. Should be here late this week.

Yes, they had started, or did a brushless conversion to it at one time. I will make it brushless as well. I have most of the parts I'll need to complete it from previous projects.

Just wanted to have an idea what it is incase I need anything. Thanks again.

Looks like youve picked yourself a solid basher. Ive never seen one in blue though, only black, grey or purple.
If youre putting the motor in the rear passenger side of the car and plan on using a motor with a ribbed can like the Neu/Castle or Tekin motors you may have to grind down or relocate the rear chassis brace to achieve proper gear mesh if using anything under a 15t/16t pinion. Smooth can motors shouldnt cause any issues though. Im dealing with that problem right now on my Hyper 7.

those front upper arms don't look like the ones my 7 used to have and the shock towers look a little thinner. Also the chassis braces don't look like they're from a 7.

But alot of parts are transferable between models and they're all very solid buggies. I broke very little on mine and what I did break was from running into 1/5th scale, both of us flat out and from a bad jump with tree interaction.

So yeah, they're good and solid pieces of kit

Theres been a few different suspension set ups on the Hyper 7, if yours didnt look like that then maybe you have the PBS version? The rear chassis support looks just like the one on mine. The front looks like a custom built carbon fiber unit. The previous owner obviously had some spare time and spare carbon fiber on his hands.

Good to know, thank you.

I may just make a brace from the rear housing to the center diff housing. More like an upper chassis plate.

I have an ''xpro'' motor mount comming for it. I was going to make my own, but for 40 bucks including a battery tray I had to grab it.

If the shock towers prove to be weak, I'll straighten them and double them up. This will be a basher, so a bit of extra weight isn't a worry. I'm going for more bullet proof basher than anything else for it.
