| My son's Cadillac
I found this body about 6 months ago and had to have it. I am currently building it so I can drive my 1 year old son around in it. He's got to have a Cadillac like dad To give an idea of scale, it's 52" long. I have 12v linear actuators to raise and lower the suspension, just like on my 1:1. It'll be powered by at 350w scooter motor, and run on 3s/6s. In 6s mode it should be geared for about 15mph, (a stock power wheels goes 5mph) For steering it's got an 1800oz/in tonegawa servo. For power I have 6 5000mah 3s lipos. The main frame is now done, and lastnight I finished the front suspension and gave it a function test. Here are the pics: Last edited by jason; 04-22-2011 at 09:16 AM. |

Once I get it all running and together it'll go off to get painted black, then be set out to get striped to match mine.

Yeah buddy! If you need any more advice on it just give me a shout. The MMM should handle that motor well, but if it doesn't I can get cheap brushed ESCs for ebikes.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to run it on 3s and call it good, or put the pack in a series and run it on 6s. On 3s I can run the actuators and servo of the system power, if I go to 6s I'll have to put in a CC BEC Pro to knock the voltage down to those things.

I love piling the family in it rolling down all the windows, cranking some old country and just driving. We burn a lot of gas in that thing going now where, just driving.

| Haha, yea you're right. Quote:
Ran up to the Carnage Crew garage and borrowed the lathe and mill to do a little work to the rear axle today, might work on the steering tomorrow, can't really do a lot more in the rear until I get the right tires here to know where to set it all up.

Not sure what the frame looks like or how much clearance ya have but have you thought about a possible body drop? To get the stance you're after
