They have a 3 speed gearbox. I saw one and would guess it was rolling close to 20 mph. But not sure if he was going thru all 3 gears due to space.. There was a video of someone driving theirs on ice on here a while back ago. Might search video section. Found it. Got a lil freezing rain yeterday. i had a hi speed motor in mines a 8 turn brushed motor in it. it handled it i have the merc. single axle one. it wasnt easy to change gears in it at fast speeds. didnt do to much damage to gears. but i wasnt risking putting a brushless in it

They are pretty top heavy and don't like to corner at speed but fun to drive.
