Default My ORCRC Sand Drag ride.... Full frontal power!

Vintage 1989 is my Kyosho Maxxum. How many have ever owned one of these little puppies? Hehe..

It still needs a faster motor but this old school 27-turn is still pretty fast for only having about 8-9 packs through it since 1994.

What other sand draggers can stand on their sides?

Flex shot on a big stock TLT tire/wheel ....

That's cool. You should mount the body backwards just to mess with people.

I have an old RC-10 Team Car too... Picked this gem up when it first came out back around 1990. That's when the Stealth tranny first came out too. Swapped out the stock front end and dropped in the RPM front conversion for that extra travel

i rember those days, instead of gettin the buggy i got the rc10t instead. That was after the sledghammer, which i soon realized was not gonna cut it on the track. I have no idea what happened to that truck(sledghammer) but i shure would love to have it. Had an rc10 totally different than driving the 10t but really fun. Someday ill find a worlds on the internet and it will be mine.

FWD will not work very well I would think. They didn't do worth a crap on pavement let alone sand.

This car kicks *** Doug.... sure it has a hard time keeping the tires on the ground

It handles pretty good for what it is. Just have to be easy at start up otherwise it'll sit there and roast the tires. After some shock tuning it'll take off rather well on the pavement.... decent tires help too. Finding good 1.9 tires is getting tougher now days though.

I snapped a few pictures when I could and got some video clips. Let's just say that my little Vintage Fwd buggy will NOT win any races :roundnround:

First are a couple pictures of part of the park.....

Some video clips, nothing grand, just clips of the Fwd sled in action...

Run some skinny front buggy tires in the rear for less drag, it will help a little.

id advise aginst the skinny tire, in sand you need floation, skinny tires tend to sink more and cause more drag reguardless of weather or not there freespinning, not saying dont try it, but so far this is the usuall thoery, you wont see skinny tires on much in the dunes unless its in front for steering.
