Default Harley's EXO Terra Buggy #AX078553

I'm beginning my journey down a path I have never tried before and not enjoyed.... a RC that goes fast. With all the crazy King of the Hammers trucks being built in the real rock crawling/desert racing world, my interest is peaked right now. I want to see what I can incorporate from those worlds into the RC version. I know this isn't a crawler, but I am and it's all I know how to do! We'll see what that means for this truck.

I had a Slash, didn't care for it. I thought it was at first but it just wore off quick. The minimal scale styling of the other SC trucks lead me to think I could get into them but after 20 mins of driving one I was over it.

Now comes the EXO. The cage and detail work really draw me on by my scaler roots. At this point I don't have much to add about the truck other than I think it looks bad ass We'll get into the details as I go.

I'm completely unsure on what direction I'll take this truck at this point. I am struggling with the idea of hacking off the rear end and making it a trophy truck but at this point I want to drive it as it was designed.

Right now the truck is basically box stock. Built pretty much completely by the book. I didn't assemble this truck myself I will admit. A local club member who we call Fat Jesus built the truck. He's meticulous and thorough, he made tons of notes in the manual on things to watch for and notes to make to Axial. I'll go over some of those later.

Here are some shots as she sits now.

Wiring was ran in the wiring channels that Axial built into the chassis wings.

Are the diffs the same as AX10/wraith? Or are they bigger?

More tech please!

The diffs are exactly the same as came in the RTR AX10 that had the open diff.

So then one could run overdrive front if they were so inclined. Cool.

Yup, all the gears sets are listed in the manual as option parts.

The BEC goes into the RX and powers the servo. The servo is a new HV Futaba in an all metal case. I am running it a 7.4 volts. The servo is crazy fast and should be a great choice.

Its wired up to power the servo. 6v just didn't seem right for a HV servo

Oh, we'll see where it ends up, alright.

Heck, maybe it's a scaler? General scalers makes more sense, to me, right now.
