Default Here we go....Clodrift!

Well I got a crazy idea for a scale drift truck. Found a used Clod body and wanted to do something quick and cool for the drift meet.

Chassis is a TT-01, mostly stock , front one way, solid rear axle, and shocks.

This was the original idea, but of course the Clod is too long, so I took out .8 inches to make the LWB a SWB

Cut the truck in half behind the cab, this was as far as I could get at work without proper tools here.

Back in the workshop, cut and pasted, rough body work done. I was going to try to get some real body work done, and maybe a decent paint job. The more I looked at it, the more that bondo kind of "fit" the look I was after.

Loaded up and ready to go to the meet, cooler full of cold ones, decided to take the BMW so I could do some wheelies once my tires were toast

Got the drift tires put on, decided to drift with the bike in the bed

Very cool. What do you do for work that it's ok to cut rc bodies apart while you are there?

I run my own store, I sell E-cigs here in Kansas, so I talked it over with my boss and he said it was "OK!", he's pretty cool boss, in fact right now I'm doing some more bondo and sanding on the Clod body and adjusting the body mounts in between customers
