| sand rail carnage
well we went out to superstition mountian this past weekend in southern cali, and I decided to bring along my little rail. this little buggar was goin up dunes my bike was having trouble with which was sweet. but then my rail decided to say hi to a big rock at about 30 mph :-( I laughed when I saw what it did...the only thing that didnt bend or break was the rpm arms |

thats why I ain't gonna buy one. That arm mount is not the best design. Should have 2 tubes and a skid plate upfront.

actually I just have to unbraze the center bar and braze in a new one. itll take about 2 hours maybe thats why I wasnt worried about it. it actually bent in the one weak spot on the rail, but again I hit a really big rock if I had hit it with anything else it would have broken a lot more. Ill be replacing that center bar with a stronger one anyway, and if you notice I hit it hard enough to break the brazing Last edited by supercrawlerfreak; 11-13-2006 at 07:19 PM. |
