Default Ifs scx10 help

Using scx10 frame, rear axle, drivetrain,
Trying to fab a traxxas slash front end onto the body.
Ideally would like to keep it 2wd but if I have to I'll add the front diff.
Wondering if anyone has done this or attempted. I have a complete 2wd slash front end but am stumped on how to combine them.
Any info, ideas would help.

I've thought about it. You'd need to fab a skid up like the kits for IFS Bombers that are available. Something like the Yeti has or do something that hangs down like the large lift kits for 1:1 trucks.

Is this gonna be fast?

Im not sure if this helps... i saw this in google. Its a wraith to yeti conversion.

Im not sure as well if wraiths have similar frames as to the scx10 cz I havent seen both side by side (personally) but as per pics, both are atleast with metal frames side by side.

Heres the kit they used

Here is the bottom of a wraith

And here it is after mounted.

Not sure if this will help but I adapted an HPI RS4 front suspension to a set of SCX10 frame rails. You may be able to do the same thing but it seems you may still need some kind of plate as a means of support for the 2wd front end components.

Yea I've already contacted blue monkey about there set and it won't fit the scx10. I have some metal platering that I could use to make a similar skid plate. I was trying to avoid Fabing as much as possible but I guess I'm going all in lol

Lol and as my username suggests, I don't have time. I'll have to take a few hours, mock up a paper stencil and then cut with the plate I have. I was worried about stability but this should hold it all together 😁

Here's my old H2 that I built a few years ago that used the Twin Hammers front IFS.

That's clean. Did you leave it RWD with an SCX rear axle or use the TH rear?

I ran the Axial rear, ratios are pretty close. It worked really well, ran it untested at 2014 Scale Champs in Utah.

Do you have any pics of it finished with the steering parts mounted?

I might, I'll look for them.

What I did was made a plate for the top of the chassis and then mounted the servo to it. It also served as a electronics mount.

UPDATE : cut out a skid pate, used links from skid to frame to keep centered, mounted shocks and seems to have decent travel. all i need to finish is the front hubs. (just need to order) mounting the steering servo on side of frame and should have full reach. NOT VERY CLEAN AT ALL but all lines are straight

Originally had longer arms in it but went with the smaller ones, kept it closer to the rear axle length and I didn't have to buy new links. I also descovered an old traxxas bandet with a 10t brushless motor in in that a friend had given to me. Needless to say I stripped all the parts I could use. Looks like the Tranny gears from the bandet will fit right in the stock scx10 Tranny! Was a little worried about breaking stuff with all that power
