| Something I've learned about the Velineon in a non VXL Pede
Stuff fails and I've got some pics and vids of it today! Here's all three of the trucks dead diffs and shattered delrin gear. The one in the back was the one I killed late in '01 while running where the StC IHOP now sits, The one on the left is the first one the truck killed and had been installed after killing the original in '01. The black one was the OE one for my Bandit that was swapped out when I did the same rebuild later on that trans. The three small greasy pieces are what's left of the delrin top gear. Now here's the 1 minute vid of it with the wheelie bar set low And here's another 1 minute vid with the same bar set high Maybe the next body should be a modernized "Hemi Under Glass" clone |

| I put the steel top gear back in with the aluminum idler (I have the steel one on hand just in case too) and have a steel ringed diff on order, plus another spare plastic planetary on hand just in case until then. I did have it geared with a 90t spur/12t pinion, so it's not really running at it's top speed potential. I think what's killed these parts wasn't the acceleration, but the wheel hop from trying to get it to stop at those speeds, that's the only reason I can imagine that the top gear shattered like that............................
