How many people scale around Arden/Asheville/Hendersonville? I live in Hendersonville now and am currently building a new 1.9 rig. ANy and all please post here so that we can get together. Bent Creek.... Triple Falls... plenty of wheeling areas around here!

Hey Monty.. glad to hear from you. I remember you talking about your course a year ago. Post us dsome pics on your progress! As soon as I get my NB TJ built, I'll be coming over. Also interested in scouting some locations with you in Bent Creek and Dupont Forest (especially Triple Falls.. lots of rock). I PM'ed everyone I could find in Western NC yesterday to try and get us mobilized. I guess I'll try again this year to get something hopping in WNC. I try to do all the planning in the winter so that we are ready for the Spring. We have enough people to have an active RC scaler community here, but its difficult to get everyone on the same page. If you can help me mobilize everyone, that will be awesome. We've even had some interest from Tennessee.

I live in SC, but I'm about an hour away from Ash. and Hender. down I26. I'm having a GTG next saturday here at my house. Last week we had 6 rigs. Would like to see a bigger crowd. Plenty of rocks,trails, and creek area for hill climbs. But be for warned, bring extra parts. LOL If any of you are interested PM me and I can give an address or directions. Or if you guys get something together LMK Maybe I can bring some of us SC guys over and show how hard we play here in SC. LOL

Hey Jakbee Just talked to Constant threat and we are thinking about getting together this saturday and meeting at my place then going to bent creek. Maybe starting around 10am at my place and head to bent creek around 11. Would love to see a few people.

Would love to guys but my rig is in the "build" phase. Trying to get some coordination on here though so that we can all get together soon. I sent alot of PMs to people but got no response. You may want to invite Vader2728. He expressed some interest in coming down from Bryson City. I'll be up and running asap... but I have alot of work ahead of me. First time building a rollcage and bumbers! Comp cutting a TJ...

Here is the "playground" I am building this Jeep for. My wife and I just moved to 20 minutes of Dupont Forest near Flat Rock NC. This particular spot is called Triple Falls. I look at it and see alot of RC fun in my future. My goal is to start at the bottom and find a scale route all the way to the top. For a sense of scale/size locate the guy standing just to the right of the lowest waterfall. This place is huge!

Triple falls is an awesome spot. Never crawled there but have hiked around there years ago. Hatefulboy's place is a blast... And yes, bring parts. I find new weak spots on my rig every time I go there. Always a blast.

The big rock and cedar rock trails in DuPont are full of potential as well and close to the parking lot

I used to mountain bike there a lot before I moved to Chicago.

I will be back around this may for a bit and will be bringing my honcho/ LR3
There are all kinds of places there that are just begging to have rc crawlers all over them

After lunch the other day, I scouted a spot you guys may or not know about. Over at the nature center,(swannanoah river rd,and azealia rd) east asheville. under the dam, we parked at the picnic shelter and walked across the street,there is a great mix of mud rocks and water crossing. Fun stuff,and intown. sadly I did not take any pics.

John here. There are lots of us in the Johnson city , Elizabethtown tn area that are having to drive to Knoxville to do any kind of organized running ashevegas is much closer. If anything comes up in the Sam's gap Asheville area please post it up or pm me , we'd love to crawl closer to home. Thanks. Rubber side down.
