Sounds good. One question since I couldn't make it today. I assume the 1.9 rig means a comp 1.9 rig like Losi's MRC right? Any trail type stuff or will that be more just GTG deals? So it was two questions. Just so Jay and I know what to plan for July.

Good questions Jim...
1.9 is the comp type...
As far as scalers that would be afterwards or any GTG that we can set-up between comps...

I cant wait for the summer series! I said this before but depending on what everyone thinks i think we should have some scaler events too on weekends in between. I dont think theres enough time to run all that in one day. (or us guys that dont have 1.9s can set up a scaler coarse and run)

....And, has anybody ever actually run at the jamestown reservoir, or just driven by it? We may have to leave fargo right after the comp and check that out on the way back with an actual truck, or even just walk around if nobody's done that either.

IF nobody has run there and we find it's not that good of a spot, we need a backup plan, possibly the church here in bis, since we only got to run that a little (and there was snow on the ground), or we could have one in minot AND one in devils lake, since the minot guys didn't get to have a comp in their area at all last year and they went to everybody elses.

On our way to Bismark at the beginning of the winter, Dave and I did drive through the resovoir to check things out. There are a bunch of different places that we think would work. We did not actually drive any trucks around but did check out several spots. The one area that looked the most promising had a gate and you could not drive to it at that time. When the water goes down we will definately check it out in more detail.

As far as having the Minot guys have 2 comps goes, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.

Ok guys, I understand everyone has different things to do in their lives, but we have these schedules set plenty in advance so people can try to work things around and make these comps. If people keep missing out on attending these for this reason or that we aren't going to be able to try to grow. We need everyone that can attend to attend. There are very few of us that are into this crawling hobby and if 1/3 to 1/2 don't show up it starts to take away from the fun.

A hobby is no different than a job or a family gathering. You set a schedule and you make it happen. I know some of you are thinking it isn't really that simple, but in actuality it really is.

Sorry for the rant but it really is getting old when people keep comming up with excuses to not make these events. There are five scheduled comps for the summer. If you can't plan 5 days in advance for the year, you have some serious issues.

I'll say first that I still plan to make it to Fargo comp.

I know all about frustration but I wasn't expecting a heavy handed rant. That will be my first day off in two weeks and a good chunk of those being 12+ hour days. I know it's very hard for Gabe and myself with the whole military thing to plan farther out than a week if even that far. We can't just call in sick and with the hours that we work family has to take priority over some silly little toys. There's this whole, you signed away every right you thought you had and everything has a " ... in the best interest of the military" clause in it. Damn, now I'm starting a rant. I'll shut up because there will end being more than enough text being slung here shortly

Anyway I won't take it personal Tony. I got the parts in for the Creeper and we'll see how it runs Sunday.

Sorry but I have to work. That will make 3 weeks with no days off for me. Then I have scout stuff with my son a bunch this summer, plus I got all over the world for my job. So if I make it to one comp I will be surprised. I don't even really care all that much anymore if I do make any of the comps. I am getting back into my nitros and my slash and the crawler is taking a bit of a back seat due to it being kind of boring and me not being to good of a driver. I do agree however that it does suck when people can't make it to events since there is such a small amount. Might as well not call it a series though, since most people will not make all the comps. Just do each one separate, not like it matters, since there are no prizes or anything. Eh just my thoughts, whatever.

Sundays work a lot better for me than Saturdays as far as work goes
