Yes Worm... XJs haver coils up front.
the 4-runner couldn't keep up with my XJ

Jeep84XJ... nice looking rig! As sooon as I have money to blow I'll finish my XJ build up.
but his Yota was pretty bad ass... i love my jeeps, but I think he could have taken ya... and thats hard to admit..lol.

Simmer down guys, I'm just fawkin with ya!

After getting above 8 inches of lift and running 60's front and rear, I needed a kit that didn't exist. Nothing out there was strong enough to handle my abusive driving and all the extra weight. At the time I didn't feel confident (and still don't) about building a custom 4 link setup. So on went the leafs, along with a lot of unibody plating. Am I happy with the leafs? Yes. Does it perform as well as it did with coils? It is better! Way more balanced than before! Think of an IFS rig. The front dosen't flex but the rear does. My XJ was opposite that. Front long arms and it flexed like mad. Rear leafs did not even come close! I will never buy another kit of any kind. I got a little taste of fabricating from it and I love doing it. And the most important thing I learned is that massive amounts of flex is OVERRATED!

I was just giving everyone a hard time.. My XJ is pretty much stock.. 2"bb and a front locker on 31 re-treads..lol.. it does better then people think.. but can't go too many big places yet... it is my DD though.. so thats my excuse..LOL.

yep, flex is overrated

but simmer down guys???? i never got to a boil yet. its just all fun and games, until doug gets his eye poked out

after i posted about the leafs, i looked at the pic again and seen the 60's. so i thought that had probably been why. sean still runs coils up front on his 60 though doesn't he doug? then he has the coilovers out back.

thanks for the compliment on the old truck doug

maybe next year, i will start to build the tube chassis to wheel

"after" i get my bike though

Im in Cinci, a guy I work with and my brother have been trying to find a group to crawl with. Anytime you guys crawl let me know! We have just been going to Lincon Ridge park lately in Northern Kentucky - it would be nice to see where everyone else goes.
