Outside in the back or off to the side?

He will not allow them inside towards the back?

Speaking as a racer....pit space can get a little tight, not really enough inside room for a good crawl area and pit space

I would think out near the Dirt track would make the most sense

You are thinking of TriState Hobbies which will be owned by Colrain Hobbies here shortly.

I am talking about Hamilton Hobbies. Here are some links.

I talked to the owner today and he is still up for the idea. I am trying to find out who would be willing to help build the spot and who would like to have a local spot to crawl.

a little far for me. and im more into natural crawling spots too. seems like the man made rock courses at hobby stores would get too crowded. ide be pretty upset to drive 40 mins only to leave cause there's too many people on the day i tried to go there

That is fine. I am assume you have never crawled at an organized comp.

not yet. maybe someday but i doubt anytime soon. i like crawling for fun and its hard to have fun when some, not saying every event or everyone. but some people just take it too seriously and it just take the fun out of it when people are crying that they got judged wrong or bragging about how cool their rig is. i tend to want to stay as far away from those types of people as possible.

Well that happens at any event. Whether it be real crying about judging or people just joking with each other about their judging. But even when it's just joking, people sometimes take it serious because it happens and that comes with competition. No reason to not go to events though, just overlook it

it happens almost everywhere and i don't mind the jokers. that's how i am and that's why it aggravates me when people cry. i have thought about going and just watching a comp. just figured ide wait till i have my own comp rig so i have something to do other than just stand there.

we'll see how it goes. ide say mid summer i should have my truck ready to go

X2 That is why I do it, for fun. Comps are fun as you get to meet new people, see different rigs and setups, and LEARN.
