Hi all...

i'm pretty much a newb... but loving a Rockbull Clod and a PTI 2.2 brushless.....

i haven't seen a lot of great places to crawl in northeast Ohio area... but i think i've found a great little spot that has proven to keep me occupied full out until my batteries were all sucked up, for the last 3 visits........

trying to gauge the interest and possible turnout of a crawlfest getogether at Nelson's Ledges State Park in Nelson, Ohio.

for those of you not familiar, but close to the area, its a simply HUGE rock formation with bunches of what i considered to be FUN terrain and rocks and trails to crawl/climb.

each time i've gone the last 2 weeks (now that weather is more cooperative somewhat), i've discovered AWESOME new spots that i just couldn't wait to get the rigs on.

of course some of the terrain is a good bit too ominous for a rock crawler, a GOOD amount of it is just perfect!

Any interest? Its about 50minutes DUE EAST of route 480/route 77 interchange(the Independence, OH area). And about 25-30 minutes due WEST of Warren, OH on route 480.

Microgoat and I would like to get some folks together and have a informal crawling 'afternoon', once the weather gets a bit warmer.

A little too far for me in Cincy, but you should post up on the TSC board and maybe there are some people nearby. maybe it would be closer for some WV folks.

micro would like to wait for dry/warm weather.... i'm watching out for first 60-65degree + saturday/sunday that looks dry.

i will PM all those that are 'in' at the time several days ahead, and try to get a day/time we can all make it out.

Eeepee--- are saturdays/sundays typically a possiblity for you?

My work schedule kinda floats. If I know the date in advance, I can ask for it off and probably get it. If you only give me a couple days' notice, I've probably got something else planned anyway.

But hell yeah, let's do it. I've got two TLT's and a 1/6 scale Ranger that are itchin' to see some new terrain. I'll even bring the Turd if it hasn't grenaded by then.

bound to be a bit warmer by then, and obviously its weather-providing....

Works for me, as long as it's not pissing rain (or snowing) I'll be there. Is there any particular spot you want to meet at, or should we just drive around looking for each other?

Blue Ranger here, I'm assuming you'll be in a ScoobyDoo

far as where to meet... have you ever been there before?

there's a nice sized parking lot and open field right across from the bulk of the rock formation. everyone pretty much parks there. there's a crosswalk and 'entrance' if you will for the rocks right across from the parking lot area. that's where we should all meet.

far as polyophio goes... we hope you can make it, the more the merrier. but lets refraim at this point from calling it an 'event'. just cuz i think its more of a 'show up and tromp around with your rigs' sort of thing. i think we need more peops to really make an 'event' out of it.

Now it's my turn to be a weenie. The 22nd is everyone else's day off at the LHS, which pretty much leaves me here by myself with the store owner. Saturadys are hellish busy, too, so I can either hang my employer out to dry or blow off the GTG.

And you guys don't sign my paycheck

Ain't lookin' too good right now. Maybe we can work some scheduling magic, maybe not. I'll let you know.

how 'bout the saturday after that? or sunday the day after? it really makes no difference to me at all.
