Sawmill can be a PITA off of 270 since that is the way traffic is directed for the tourny, I usually exit there and go across Tuller Rd. It would also be a PITA for anyone coming from north of Powell/Dublin on "back roads".

If they are still calling for rain Emerald might be a better idea, in case it does. Hell it is the Memorial, the Indian curse of rain has to rear it's head at some point.

Default update

As of now we will be shooting for Emerald. As stated it will be a bit easier to get to and we have cover should rain be a factor.

We will be using the ravine / the first area mentioned in the link
Detailed maps can be found at:

as dry as its been it would have to be a serious rain for the ravine to flood

not supposed to rain at all tomorrow.

it is raining now, which means the good emerald is in question.

SO, if the good emerald is flooded I need to know where we are crawling.

Thanks

Tom

definitely some tough courses! 30 attempted runs and only 4 completions. , or something like that..

Courses I thought were good considering the area. its just hard to build makeable courses in that mess of rip rap, on that incline.

Thanks to the coursebuilders and to bob for taking the initiative.

see you guys next time.

I was HOT, but not on FIRE......actually got the XR to last all 3 comps.....WOW!

Choked big time on the last course, couldn't handle the pressure of being in first place

Thanks to a good coach I did well (so I let him win).
Thanks again Tom for the help

Hello on this fine comp eve. I have been watching the weather as of late an it looks like there may be some rain tomorrow. With any luck it will give us the time we need to comp, but to be safe I would recomend an umbrella, grocery bag, easy ups... What ever you have avail.
I went out to griggs today to move some stuff around and I think we can pull off 2 courses in an area that could be covered by 2 easy ups.

I intended to practice in the area but my servo chose to spit the magic smoke. It was like a Cheech and Chong flick. Effin stupid hitec
I guess better today than at the comp. I think those of you who have been there will like the few changes and those who are new to the site will have a good time.

We will prob hold a club meeting tomorrow to choose what type of prizes we would like to give at the power show after the 4th. I think we are looking at a $200 cap and would like to get the most bang for the buck. We plan on trophies for the 1-3 spots and I am leaning towards prizes raffle style like battle grounds. That way everyone has a chance to walk away with a nice prize... Of course not everyone will but it leaves it to chance to draw a larger interest.
Bring your thoughts to the table tomorrow

On a odd side note..
Tom calls today and asks what our plan is if it should rain. I stated the above and asked why. He replys that if its nice in the morn. he isnt coming but if it rains he is there for sure...????
As it turns out he may have to work if the weather permits but I thought you may get the grin I got from such an odd statement.

See you all in the AM.

Depending on work, BuckImod and I are going to try to ride out for this one.

How long do your comps normally last? (Just trying to figure a time to tell the wife that I'll be home.)

We start at 10:00 and depending on how many drivers show up, usually wrap up between 2:00 and 4:00...so I would say 4:00 to be safe...

Hope we see y'all there!
