Default hello from GREECE

Hello from ATHENS i m Zafiris and i m fun of rc cars (my rc cars are, BAJA 5b RTR, CEN GST 7,7, GS STORM, WHEELY KING 4X4 ).

The rc cars in Greece, are very popular, but not the crawling.

I started the crawling in August, with an AX-10 ARTR and my new project
is Hustler super class, maybe the first in Greece.

Also I am glad to see guy's from Greece here!
I live in Athens, I am into RC's almost 17 years and my latest interest is crawling.

Sorry for brining up an old thread guys, but has anything moved on with crawling in and around Athens?

Any meets or competitions?

Cheers

Hi Spiros,

Is this a competition or just a few of you getting together?
This is likavittos hill in Kolonaki right?

Figured i'd try the beach front at Glyfada near the fun park as they've installed those big wave breaker rocks there.

Also figured i'd try Hymitos, i know there are some fantastic crawling spots there as i've seen them wheb out walking and mountain biking.

Only crap thing is there's no parking next to the good spots.

Do you know the Kareas Monastery?
If you park in the car park there and walk for 5 mins you come to a area with picnic benches, looks like some great crawling there

Have you found any other good crawling spots?
Any tips as well please?

Cheers
Mark

Just a get together. I don't see a formal competition taking place anytime soon.

The rocks in Glyfada are good for supers, the gaps are way too big for 2.2. I go there occasionally since it 5 minutes from home.
There are some spots in Hymitos but parking is a huge issue up there.

Lykavittos was a great spot, as is filopappou but again parking is tight.

In Glyfada I have been using some abandoned decorative lakes that have two small hills made from sprayed cement. There are some really good lines there. This is a couple of blocks upstreet from the town hall.

Also you might want to try limanakia, Agia Marina and pretty much most coasts from Voula to Sounio. Great rocks all over those places.

Great thanks.

If you have a get together anywhere but down town i'd really appreciate a heads up.
If i'm not working i'll come.

I don't do down town though so will have to give this one a miss.

Think you'll find that's oil not grease and certainly not Greece
