yes it's a very good idea samu , i'm in for help too if needed, May will be good for this comp there is a lot of public holiday in this month and not so much people on the site it will be more easier to have town hall permission.

there is a camping and 3 hotel at 5 min of the crawler place with a lot of "bangalow" and the prizes is very cheap on May

how many days you think we need for the comp ? 2 -3
and how many classes ?

Good to hear, that may is ok. I saw some pics from PACA on April, didn't look too warm out there. What's the temperature like in may? If you are not counting the wind from the sea of course.

In my opinion:

Friday: 2.2 Shafty
Saturday: 2.2 Pro
Sunday: Super & 1.9

So three days.

This sounds like a great idea, but to gather as many as possible the cost of everything needs to be keep't low.

Yes, I believe that, but it needs dedication from the scale side as well. Not always coming to the served table. We need organizers to that side, if we want to take it along!

Traditional comp classes really require organizing and dedication to host and compete, wheras "scale" is not so defined and doesn't breed event hosts from local events. So I can see why there may not be people willing to host scale over there, maybe few have the experience of running events.

So take it to heart Europeans! If you want to have scale events then you can learn how from the highest form of crawling, as it has many years of experience to draw from. Don't be shy, and let Samu know if you want to become better at hosting events!

As a crawler (even if very amateur at that), from Europe I can only be excited about this.
It would be complicated to actually make it there (live keeps getting in the way...), but you never know!

What is the closest international airport to that location?

Yes, Marseille is near to that place. Perhaps some of the french guys may Talk with Teddy, who organised a real nice scale challenge @ BIG 2014. To be honest, scalecomps need a lot more work in preparation....
Let's just start that thing, the rest will come with the time. The Supercrawl in Dortmund will be @ Pfingsten 2015, the 23/24/25 th of may. . .

in May you can have temperature between 22° and 30°, but some days the wind blow very hard.

the nearest airport is marseille marignane.

If there is scaleguys, that are willing to take care of the scaleside, then there is no problem.

Let's make it 8.-10.5.2015. Then there's enough time for those who are running Supercrawl. Nordics will be on June again I think.

And we can't look too much on the dates of the other comps, since this should be the one to come for. The European Championship!

Hi Samu,

It s a very nice news for all europeans drivers.
That project sounds great and it ll be a pleasure if us french drivers can help you to make it possible !

About PACA area...
Next the sea (a lil bit windy but always sunny !)
a long amazing grippy land of rocks
closed to airport, highway
check googlemap: https://www.google.fr/maps/place/Pha...f6ce4101f699ae

questions:
> how many drivers could run in each class ? @Big2014, we have try a good way to make driers run a maximum of time during a comp (6 tracks + 1 final a day with some rainy times)
> does every drivers could register ? or is it priority for each europeans country champ ?
> what should you need to set it up ? ask us

Pfingsten is not a place ;) sorry! Dortmund is correct.
