any info on how to paint woodgrain would be appreciated,,,,

try painting your main wood color , then while it is still wet use a coarse paint brush and run it down the panel like a wooodgrain , then spray a darker color , black, dark brown , depending on how thin the paint streaked, try it on a couple of test panels or left over lexan from a trimmed body ..... let me know how it turns out |

Take a sharpie and draw the woodgrain on first. With an airbrush go over those lines with a 1/8" pattern of your darker browns. Then fill in the rest of the area with the lighter color. I think someone on these boards has a painted wood grain bed floor. Look at some of the galleries.

Like pro beater said that works really well also take a coffee filter (lent Free) and crumple it up and make small little twist marks to simulate knots in the finish then use your next color after it has set up, for another cool effect take sir-ran wrap (sp) and lay it down on the wet pain then pull it up.
