Default air brush masking?

okay, well just for an example, i got a stencle set for a new revo 3.3 body, and it leaked everywhere, i even used some masking tape for some areas and it still leaked, and i checked everywhere for open spots before i started spraying, so i had to spend a hour scrapping paint off the inside with a hobby knife. i've seen some sick bodies on here, and any tips, and what you use to mask wou ld be great. (I've air brushed before, im not to knew at it, and i already know you dont hold it in one spot and just spray thick, learned a very messy way)

Thanks

Try using Bob Dively liquid mask. Paint the inside of the body with a few coats of the liquid mask. Draw the design on the outside and use a hobby knife to cut out the design.

And to expand on this, make sure you not only use a fresh blade, practice on some empty clear bottles first. It is really easy to use too much pressure when cutting out the stencle that you scratch the body. I had a body that had my best paint job that I have ever done...I found out after a day of racing that I had scored the body too badly and after a single race day, my scallop pattern cut cleanly through the lexan.

can I get this at my LHS? or where can i go to get it?

Do I have to order the liquid mask or where can I get it, sounds intresting, and that I could get some sick looking paint jobs out of it after some practice.

Vinyl works, but is leak-prone much the same as masking tape. If you want to be 100% guaranteed against leaks, use liquid mask.
