The printing bumper sticker thing I thought of doing myself also. Depends on how thick it is tho as well if you see the "edge" of all the decals then. Waterproofing could be done with the thin coat of superglue tho couldnt it?

Their bumper stickers are heavy duty vinyl. Completely waterproof.

jaynen, i can help you out if you want. I can do the artwork and printing for you. PM me.

I would just need a real good side shot of the body and one or two measurements. then i can lay the artwork out and print it. It would be printed on clear vinyl and be outside durable and water proof. It is printed with a Suma DC4 ribbon resin printer like the gerber edge they mentioned. Same type of technology. Here is one i just did for a guy with a HPI Jeep rubicon body.

If you choose to do it yourself i wouldn't do it in photoshop unless that is all you have. adobe Illustrator would be beter. It is already a vector based program and you wouldn't have to convert it. Or a Flexi sign program.

Here is a side view. Thanks for the all the advice and the interest.

14.4" from the grill in the front to the rear basically the whole side including hood area

5.9" from fenderwell to fenderwell along the running board

Door is 2.95" tall from window to running board

approximately 5.5" inches from fender to where the strip should go diagonal

1" of diagonal

approx 6" of second stripe to go all the way to the back

The thickness of the white area above the fenderwell in the rear is just a shade under .5" about .48"

So scale wise I am not sure what thickness, ideally I would like to be able to run the strip out of the lower front fenderwell area then up across the backafter the diagonal like in the jeep pic.

I suppose if you want to make these so they could be used for different applications you could also make the before the logo bit and the after the diagonal bit longer then could just trim it to size.

2 sets of stripes with the logo

3 square block letter "BORDER PATROL" one for the rear spare cover, 2 to go on top of the stripes

And would not mind something like those green block letters/numbers saying H3130 and WCX for authenticity and even a Black RUBICON for the front since the model didnt have one.

Also I have higher res images just not posted for linking so can email it if needed.

It's a crash dummy action figure I found when I bought the body. Its the perfect size because GI JOE size is too small and Wrestling figures etc are too big for a 1/10th scale body Thought he made a fitting driver.

I don't know if this will help you or not.

http://www.nbpc.net/Miscellaneous/VEHICLE_.PDF

it looks to be the approved color codes, fonts, and and designs for Homeland Security vehicles. including the Border Patrol. at least it was in may "04.
it looks a little different than the ones i've seen or the ones you posted.

i'm looking for close to the same thing. does anybody have any pics of the older border patrol vehicles? the light green with white top. i've been searching and can't find any.

Thats my fastlance R/C 4 door JK body from Toys R Us

I have not gotten them printed yet, not sure if Xtreme RC is going to do that or send me a file to take to get them printed. He did the layout based on the reference photos I sent.
