| What result would this provide?
I love the look all of these flat bodies are starting to show. I know that to achieve this look you have to paint the outside of the body. If you scratch it you obvioulsy expose the lexan. If you have an underlying color than it looks even better like real damage. I actually really like it. Could you achieve a flat look if you scuffed the body with say 800-1000 grit paper to dull down the shine? Then paint the inside like normal (even with a flat paint) and have a flat look? Maybe this has been discussed but I have not found anything. I am just curious if it could work. I would try it, but all I have is a brand new Grappler and am saving it for my build. I guess I could just cut some leftover part off of it and try. Maybe I will have to try that and see. If anyone has done this please show a pic. Thanks |

sanding down the outside will take down some of the shine. Since the lexan works like a clear coat, it will work like if you sanded down the clear on your car. If you like the damage and scratches look, then why dont you just paint the outside? Its alot easier and this way will be evenly flat all over the body. |

Oh I dig the result from the outside. Maybe it was more of a could ya type of thing. I guess in actually it would only haze the lexan anyway - wouldn't look right.
