| AX10 body hacking
Well I have the crawler built, and the body just sitting there, not painted or anything, I want to know how you guys are hacking up the body to allow more clearance and make the body sit lower then stock. It's the stock Axial body from the kit. Thanks! |

For more clearance I've removed the front bumper and cut out the front wheel wells a bit. You could also cut out the rear bumper but I've not found it to be as much of an impedance. If you want the body to sit lower simply move up the body post holes and trim the bottom of the doors. |

Thanks, it gives me some good ideas on how to do it, looking forward to hacking it up. Plus this is a temp thing, because I plan to move to a tuber here in the near future.

here's one i did for my brother's ax10. that's about as low as you can get with the stock chassis without cutting through the hood.

thanks for the info... if things go right, I'll be picking up a DCV/Pro next week, so body is not a issue anymore!

That's sweet!!! I have new Betty sitting here ready to be painted (getting rid of the pink on my next one). I'm digging the dovetailed bed! Gonna try that on my next one! EDIT: Couldn't wait... went and dovetailed my current Betty body! Last edited by CSR; 04-13-2008 at 03:23 PM. | |

Picked up my AX10 yesterday and decided to bob and dovetail it this morning , a real pita but turned out ok . Anybody want to recomend a green paint that is close to the axial ano ? Base color will be black . http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/5544/ax1002no3.jpg |

Nice . I like the angle cut on the bedside , looks much better than an arc . I might have to see what I can do on squeezing in some comps between races this year . I havent driven a crawler in almost a year and a half so I`ll probably drive like a total noob , LOl .
