Default My Rock Steady from JConcepts

Had it for a couple weeks, just got 'round to painting it. Performed very well on the rocks at the comp this weekend. Brought home 1st with it.

I have their next 2 sitting on my desk ready for paint. I'll post pics of those if and when I get the go-ahead from the higher-ups.

Looks good. Just like mine, except I went orange on top. I'm thinking this body will be almost as popular as the Bug body pretty soon. Performs perfectly.

Looking good Scatt!

I posted this in the other JC Rock Ready thread, hope you don't mind.

After running the Pro Line Rock Star, I prefer the Rock Ready as it's very similar in size, but the material seems to hold up better. After only a few spills my Rock Star body started to split around the body post holes.

Yeah, the body is a little heavier duty which I like.

Did you paint that body yourself? If so, any tips on how you did it? I really like that effect.

Yeah, I painted it myself. I learned this trick from one of the members here on RCC.

I painted the darker color first (candy purple) and then less it set up for about 30 seconds. While it was setting up, I balled up a plastic grocery bag and then started blotting the paint w/ the bag. After I got the look I was happy with, I backed it w/ the lighter color(fluorescent yellow) and then some silver.

Didn't turn out the way I thought it would color wise, but it still looks pretty good.
