| themed bodies are gay, and I don't like the rockstar
So naturally I painted up a themed Rockstar . I'm not much of a painter, but I had fun with this one. Don't look closely, you'll see where paint bled through everywhere. [URL=http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=517&i=rockstar4pg4.jpg][IMG] jim morrison is a rock star, in case you didn't catch the theme. Last edited by cuban b; 06-22-2008 at 09:11 PM. |

yeah, it's paint. Freakin' tedious masking. I've never tried anything like this before. It sucked to do, but I kind of like how it turned out. gay or not |

I like the concept. I would've picked someone else besides The Doors, because they sucked, but it's a cool paint job.

I agree I'm not a Rock Star fan but the paint job is very original and shows artistic talent. I disagree Jim Morrison was a rock star, not necessarily my favorite but never the less a rock star. I saw the Doors at the Whiskey in LA as the warm up act for Eric Burdon and the Animals in 1966 and and he was so fawked up the crowd started booing he was defiantly one of a kind. |

Themes can be really good if moderately and tastefully done, I think yours looks great. Themes can also go way too far, any OCC bike would be a good example.

I hear you on the brown. It was supposed to be really dark brown, and instead it came out more like, well, crap.

That brown reminds me of a turd in the toilet but it also reminds me of brown m&m's. Not a doors fan at all but, morrison stands his place in music. You did a nice job on the scheme though. I know what you mean with the masking. If only it would take that long to mask as it does shoot with paint. |

| I was 17 at the time, it was a super crazy time in LA the peace/love movement was in total control of the city, a point in time that never has or ever will be duplicated again. A great time to be young and single. |
