Default painting body panels?

i want to paint a truck body with different color body panels, such as different color hood, doors, bedside and such. as if somebody were to have been building the truck sort of speak. how would one go about doing this? i was thinking a brush and a bunch of different model paints on the inside? can you brush the inside of a body? correct me if im wrong or have any helpful info...

Same as doing anything else, MASK, either Masking Tape or Liquid mask, just have to plan it out layer by layer.
