| 2.2 body legality.....
ok i get the length and height rule...but what is the 5" wide rule? is it the body between the front and rear wheel? or from driver to passenger side? is there a minimum between the wheels? and the whole resemble the original vehicle....can it be a bobbed truck if it meets the length requirements? i can post pics of my truck if needed... |

thanks....thats what i thought it was as well...so there really is no required dimension or length of body between front and rear tires then...aka rocker panel.?? just the 3" hieght reg... and do you think a bobbed off truck bed would make a legal rig?

If your wheelbase is 12.5 it should be fine. The rear of body is to the rear axle and the front is hanging past front axle. Min. length is 12.5 Height look's fine, and the width of that body is well past legal. Good luck at the comp!! |

| Did you just make that part up? At no point is "widest point" stated in the rules, they simply state "center." The center of the body must be min 5", not at the widest point. http://www.usrcca.com/rules2008.pdf And height wouldn't be measured from "rocker panel," since many bodies have the rocker panels cut off. |

Yes, The idea is that you measure the five inch min. width at roof of cab. 2.1.2. Any support chassis is allowed. Body must be 3" minimum height on side's. No less than 12.5 total length and full original width, and no less than 5" in the center all bodies should resemble it's original form (jeep bodies look's like a jeep) Keep in mind if it's your first event the committie member's will probably warn you if the body is to far out of spec. and expect it fixed by next event....of course this depend's on club's since they all have the ability to modify the rule's based on there club's need's. | The object is to measure 5" at the center not the roof. If we went by the roof only a lot of us would not pass. Here's my Pro-Line's USRCCA C-10 comp legal body.the roof at 4" and from door to door is 5"
