Default Started painting but made a mistake, help please

I started painting my FJ40 CR-01 body last night and I wanted the side steps painted black so I masked off the area I didnt want painted. I painted the area black and it looked good but then I woke up this morning to find the black had blead under the masking tape onto the clear section of unpainted body !!!! How do I remove the unwanted paint without ruining the clear ? I used a Tamiya black paint pen, have used them before with no problems. TIA for any help

Maybe somebody can add to this but there is some sort of orange cleaner available at walmart and such that takes paint off lexan without clouding it

First try a tooth pick to scrape it off. the wooden toothpick won't scratch the lexan body. next try rubbing alcohol, a little bit on a "Q"tip. this should work and if it doesn't you won't hurt the body with the rubbing alcohol either.

The toothpick method works really well. If not try rubbing alcohol but lightly...

If you want to start over, a little DOT3 brake fluid works well.

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions guys very much appreciated, im not the greatest painter so I wanted to try my hardest on this body, I managed to fix the bleed with the toothpick idea. Once again thanks, you helped me save a body that is hard to come by

I found out that brake cleaner works pretty good. Stripped an entire body last night. Did not affect the lexan one bit. Had to work at it a bit in some places though.
