Default Caution

Be carefull guys. I got mine from CKRC and it was so thin in the rear fender area it tour when I tried to cut the fenders off. This body is no where near the quaility of the HPI body. OH, Yeah and for $30.00 it should be of outstanding quality.

I have tried to contact CKRC whith no response both email and phone. I am verry unhappy with the body and the fact I can not get a hold of them. I would assume they would handle this issue. I will never place an order with them again.

I aslo bought the stage 2 kit for AX-10 and it was missing screws and they used some plastic spacers instead of the Axial ones the kit called for and the inside diameter was to small to get over the bolt. Verry poor products and service.
Thanks,
Mark

Sorry, maybe personal preference or opinion, just not appreciating this body...:-(

Hood scoops on the front... Swing and a miss...

Edited because after I read my response I thought it was too negative. It is always nice to have more bodies to choose from, and it is nice to see vendors listening to our requests.

I just want the HPI back...lol

I have heard no complaints about the body. if you have issues you can send it back to us or give us a call. Maybe you got a bad one??

Zach, have you received yours yet?

ok this is for those that have this body.

how is it?
is it thick enough?
any issues with the quality?

i really want one but don't want a cheap chessy copy of a great body.

This a pic from SDRCRC Final Comp this weekend

I like the body
I think it could be a little thicker. After flippping her on her lid a few times where the body posts attach it started cracking.
The quality seems OK. I think it is a great substitution for the HPI but not nearly as thick. I have both I love the CKRC body shape (I hated the scoop on the HPI it would get hung up on stuff but the HPI was thicker or at least seems thicker.

buddy back home got on of these bodies and ran it at the last comp and it sucked. he hates it. everytime it was on the lid it was like it couldn't support the weight of the truck. i checked it out and it was pretty thin. i wanted to get it but after seeing it was 30 bucks and what he got. no thanks!

I have been running mine for about 2 months. Mine is tearing around the body post holes a bit, but not nearly as bad as my hpi did. I will get some pics for you guys. About the battery, send me a pm.

I've been beating on mine for over 2 months now and it doesn't have a crack or tear in it anywhere. Of course I run mine slammed like it should be run so there is not much flexing. There may be a quality control issue with the company this is producing them.

It is definitely not as thick as the HPI but if you like the Bug body you do not have alot of choices out there. I would say for the quality $30 is alot but then again I have purchased 2.

I am very concerned about the quality of these bodies. We have just received 200 more and I had the guys inspect and crush down every lid and side. In all 200, we did not have 1 with a issue. If someone has a issue, please bring it to my attention, i would like to know about it. There may be some finger prints on this batch though.

guys that race have been dealing with thin bodies for years.. you have 2 choices a heavy body that last's forever but adds weight up high... or a thin light body that doesnt last as long..

I will take less weight
