Default Breathing New Life Into An Old Grappler

well i was going to get a losi grappler body for my cr-01 but i remembered i had one that was on my old comp rig. the body was trashed. the paint flaked off (rc paint) and the lexan was cracking but the problem areas were all on the lower sides.so i decided to make some new sides out of some scrap lexan.

here is the body with the sides cut off...

one of the old sides...

a fresh new side...

i had to bend the sides in a bit on a small break...

side mounted...

now i have to touch up the green on the body and then paint the sides.im not sure if i want to paint the new sides the same green or a flat black..

more to come.

It should work good for a beater body, especially after paint. It just doesn't look right on that chassis though, too small.

you do this sort of thing when you get bored.

i don't really see the cr-01 as a scaler nor a comp rig.

edit:

i lowered it as much as possible and removed the front bumper.

what is that a scale chassis for it doesnt look like anything I have ever seen except maybe a monster truck.. and a hacked up body looks right at home on allot of real monster trucks..

i am totally serious.

It does not look ok, its hideous. I am blind and even I can tell how horrible it is.

If i could, I would take that body and feed it to alligators.

Damn forum police - leave the guy alone. Maybe he doesn't have tons of money to go out and buy a new body. At least he had the balls to try it and post it. Now all he gets is bashed! If you like it than that is what matters. If you feel that you don't then change it. Not like he glued it to the thing, nuff said.

see, heres the problem, i don't care if he doesnt have alot of money. I would rather he shoplift a new body or perhaps steal some money for a new body. Bodies arent that expensive, the store expects some theft anyway and a person wouldn't really miss the $30 if stolen from them.

I hate the guy for posting this thread.
