Default Tips needed for making the Amp background with spray cans

I want to do an Amp:Traction theme on a F-650 body...the scheme is the same as regular Amp, but black and purple instead of black and green.

here's a brighter version of the graphic in red and black:

I'm not worried about the text, but I want the "streaked" effect. Would spraying a heavy coat, then dragging straw from a broom down the wet paint work? It looks like Black would go first, then purple, and back it with silver (painting from the inside)...sound right?

With this... best thing is practice it on some plexi glass... I go to Lowes Home Improvement, and head to the Glass Cutting area... ask if they have some plexi scraps... I have gotten them twice now and no costs...

Then you can practice what you need.... lets you try afew things...

Also... if you take a few strips of tape... cut them kind of wavy and thin... and stick them on leaving a gap for one color... just an idea.

I agree. I would also try painting the lighter color first, brush it and then put the black on. I think it might blend a little better.
