Default Body Glue ? crack repair what do you use

Old 1/5 race body needs some fixing

I did some searching and in some other forums as well
I have this body piece and it has some good Clear glue on it but Hobby shop could not suggest anything like it said to use a Soldering iron and melt it or to use plastitruct which may also melt it or effect the paint

What glue do you use for Polycarbonate bodies

I am the 2nd owner of the piece I have below it has some Clear glue that is hard but is very strong and sticks well but have no way of finding out what glue it is.

Thank u

Buy yourself a roll of drywall repair tape, the stuff that looks like open mesh with adhesive on one side. Lay 1-3 layers (alternating angle wrt each layer) as necessary. Then mash the Shoo Goo into the mesh with a wetted finger.

Works great.

Shoe Goo is good but if you can find Fender Mender that is the sh!&. I think at one time it was distributed by HRP. It comes in a can with a yellow label, the lid has a brush to apply the product. Used it a lot in on-road. It also works good if you use a little in the body mount area to help form damage in that area to the paint or body.

Wow Thanks everybody !

Is Fender mender flexable
I think that is key

I also hear Drywall repair tape and cover it in goop.
and sticky plumbers tape, or is that the same thing ..?

I think I have shoe goo . I will look for the drywall tape or plumbers tape. Isn't Plumbers tape the White thread seal stuff ?

Yeah its like that grid tape. (like the ribs in duct tape). The idea is that your fiber reinforcing the glue.
I use Goop or shoe goo whatever is easiest to find.

Drywall tape or panty hose works really good with the shoe goo.
