when trying to smoke my lenses. do I need to Use transparent red on the back and black over the front for the brake lights?

If you have working tails with red LED's
Use red leds, and spray either the inside or outside lightly black until desired tint is applied.

OR if you have working tails with white LED's
Use transparent red on the inside and tint the outside until desired darkness fits your application

Or if you have non working taillight
Use bright bright red on the inside and smoke the outside lightly until desired tint is applied
