Default primer for backing gold

im going to paint my jk body incan gold and want to know which color primer would be best for backing gold, black or grey thanks

Hi, after you spray the gold, hold it up to the light. if it's solid it won't matter what color you back it with. If it's not totally solid then go with grey or silver as these colors are much more forgiving. They will give you a solid gold look. black can cause shadowing and white can cause bright spots.

i forgot to say that it is a hard body that i am painting i just wanted to know which would be better thanks for the reply
