| finally pulled off a decent paintjob for a change...
...not a crawler body, but I wanted to show it off. An HPI Silvia for a drift project I'm building (HPI RS4 Pro) Gold Lime pearl backed w/ gold, dark blue metal-flake backed w/ silver, the same silver made the stripes. All rattle-canned. I used vinyl pinstriping tape to mask the stripes: I made some faux exhaust pipes out of stainless tubing that I turned blue/brown w/ a torch. Epoxied to a flat piece of plastic, double-side-taped inside the body: Opinions are welcomed... Last edited by Big Mike; 01-25-2009 at 12:47 PM. |

| I have'nt been able to either, until recently. I think learning a little patience has been the biggest help of all. Being able to put it down and walk away for 24 hours has always been hard for me to do. Painting a body consists of hours upon hours of prep-work, and then a couple minutes of actually spraying paint. Then waiting for the last layer to FULLY cure before moving on is the hard part. Thanks for all the kind words... Last edited by Big Mike; 01-25-2009 at 01:03 PM. | |
