| dying plastic parts.............
i used to dye the nylon parts of my RC10 back in the 80's when i used to race them....how well would a white plastic cutting board i used for my skid plate take some rit dye to match the color schem of my rig........bob .... |

Ive tried it before with no luck. The cutting board is a different type of plastic thats made not to absorb liquids or smells, etc. I tried to dye a white one black, and it barely made it a light purple shade - hardly even noticeable. |

i'm gonna try the acid content in vinegar to see if that will work with the cutting board to see if it will take the dye....i'm using orange to match the color scheme on my tigress so it won't be like white to black, even if it comes out a light orange it'll be better then the white....i'll have my report by tommrrow night.......bob .... |

Get some white Delrin, it's takes rit dye pretty well. I've seen some Delrin chassis and wheel's dyed all sorts of colors.

i was going to get some delrin for a final skid plate after i know what i need....the skid came out a yellowish orange kinda like a tigers belly color so it will look good for now..............bob .... |
