try cutting out the red on both sides along the hood line in the amount you need to, then some CA glue to put it together...............bob

My best suggestion would be to look at the cutting with thread "thread" How-To:Cutting with thread and use his example and cut off the hood. Then you could take a couple of wedges off the sides of the hood and bend the fenders in to match. You may get lucky and have it fit right from the start. You may have to trim a bit off of the back side of the hood to get the lines to match. Good luck, and show us what you come up with.

Default dove tail help?

well i did some looking around on dove tailing didnt really find anything good. iam wanting to dove tail the front of my blackfoot body...i dont want to narrow it to much, just enough to fit my grill....so whats the best way to do this????

I am not sure how to do it in palstic, but in a 1:1 rig don't they
cut a piece out of the center of the hood. Cut out what ever
measurement you need in the front all the way back to rear
at 0 like a big longated triangle.

If you take the cut out of the center, then the front edge of the hood would not be a straight line. Depending on how anal you are about scale lloks, the edge cuts are better. Plus if you have a hood logo/name, the name is preserved.

normally you only dove tail the rear end but i dove tailed my old body and i used tape to hold it together untill i could get some super glue then i put this clear gel like putty and it dries really hard and it has held up for a while now . hope that helps.
