They don't have to be "Axial" scissors. I'm sure they simply rebrand them. Mine are from Hobbico.

There are curved scissors for lexan as well as regular scissors for lexan. Obviously, the curved ones are for the wheel wells and other curved areas. Hope this helped.

I just score it with a hobby/exacto knife then the lexan will tear along the score line pretty easily. Its a heck of alot smoother than messing with those crappy scissors. I had a pair of them and after 3 or 4 hacked up bodies they broke and I havn't looked back. Just go slow and it turns out good.

I get pretty close to the cut line with scissors and then finish it with a Dremel.

I cut the K5 I did with lexan scissors and had no problems, Just purchased the proline scissors and they suck. Go with Dynamite, 3 years and over a hundred bodies and they are still sharp enough to cut your fingers. here is the link to them, a little more pricey then most, but it must be because of the longevity of the blades. http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/D...ProdID=DYN2511 |

I use a pair of scissors I bought from Harbor Freight. They are the the cheap plastic ones. They work great for most of what I cut, then a pair of lexan scissors for the round cuts

finger nail sissors have worked for all my bodies, then dremal or #11 exacto blade to clean up any edge. When the sissors are brand new they work great, time for mine to be tossed out. Mike. p.s. nice blazer, I want something just like that!! |
