| Can I paint chrome without an airbrush?
I was going to go for the beatup look on my Ford F100 I'm painting for SCX10. I decided to paint it a metallic green similar to the color my fathers 1976 Ford ranger was. Needless to say, I'd like to go the extent of painting the trim along the middle of the panels and the bumpers chrome. I'm a rattle can painter...can it be done? Here's a picture of where there's chrome that I'd like to mimic. |

The mirror chrome is AWESOME! Here's a shot of a body that I painted and used the SpazStix Mirror Chrome (aerosol can) to do the bumpers, vents and trim: BTW, I didnt back the chrome with anything... Last edited by JeremyH; 04-30-2009 at 01:51 PM. |

you need to use a special black that wont reactivate the crystaline structure that creates the chrome, aclad sells it as well as spaz stix, id use the same manufacture if you can

Anyone know if Spazstix is still around? I ordered some chrome paint from them on May 1st. Received an email invoice and have since had zero communication with them. I tried calling but it goes to a generic message saying please leave a message. Nothing about the phone number or business.
