| TK-twister and Real flames! (1st try)
I though I would give it a shot at painting the real flame look for my new summer season Berg. For my first shot at it I think it didn't come out to bad. If I was to do it again I would use smaller templates to make the flames a little more compact. Maybe I should do a write for ya!! Here you go!! |

goood job for a first try! you kinda got it goin on in the center hood. but outsides not so much, one of the things is you cant let those lighter colors (yellow and orange) touch the black with out red to seperate them, especially the yellow, b/c it will turn green do to the blue tint of the black that you cant see until you spray white or yellow over it. also real flames rarley have a double solid edged lick like in a "flame" paint job, they usually have a soft side and a hard side so just use the rounded part of the sheild and incase you didnt catch it go to cfx paintworks and read the how-to i have up, if the pics arnt showing let me know and i'll have to get my site up and running again |

also wanted to add b/c i i saw it the scond time looking over the body, paint what you see not what you know. for this.... use referance! pictures of actual fire... then extract the patterns and colors you see and find a way to get em on the body! right now all you have is technique and some memory of what fire looked like.. you need to learn how to apply technique to the memory and for that you need a refresher to get my fire the way it is i did my way (ass) mike lavallees way (dvd, not so much ass) then i started to take pictures and practice what i saw not what i know.. and you know what it changed over night into photorealistic fire that i used for my first buisness card! if your an artist you already know this |

Nice first try! I've been airbrushing for over 15 years (not too heavily, however) and I have yet to produce a real-fire job that looked presentable. (only tried three times, however) The real-fire thing is deceptively hard to do (esp. when watching Mike Levalle do it... he makes it look just sooo freakin' easy...) |

| Flame on!!! I like the whole "flame" paint scheme. Imo, you did a darn good job for a first time or not. It is your own handy work. Keep practicing |
