| dovetail mini cooper?????????????????
I want to dovetail a lexon mini cooper but have no idea how to do it. It will be on my comp crawler moa. I have searched and found some stuff about shoe goo and maybe canopy glue to hold it together, along with screws/rivets. I want to paint the inside so I guess the seams will look like crap but I can kinda cover them with decals I hope. I'm really looking for a how to I guess. Thanks in advance |

I did a lunchbox body like that a while back, looks odd but worked fairly well too. Unfortunetly, this is the only pic I have of it right now. |

For lexan bodies I use standard craft tube glue like UHU, holds great and dries clear.

I'd painted the shell and found that the tires would rub on the quarters even though I chopped that much off of them, so I cut the body down the seam for the back door and up to about 1/3 of the way forward from the drip rail. Then I cut the body just ahead of where the roof curves down into the same drip rail from one outer back door jab to the other and made longer but otherwise matching cuts across the roof where I stopped cutting forward. After that I was able to pull the two sides together and make the back doors overlap each other. I then drilled a number of holes and bolted everything together with 3mm buttonhead screws, locknuts, and washers and without any glue used. | |
