depends all on how thick you put it on! Good rule of thumb, waits til every bit is completely transparent, you'll see clumps in corners and folds that will still be solid color. So wait! set it infront of a fan and watch a movie or something, better yet GO CRAWLING!

| Thats great advice TANK. I usually lay down 3 heavy coats of Bob Dively liquid mask the night before I start shooting. I also cut all of my graphics and window trim before I start painting. That way all of the cutting is done and you won't have to bounce between painting and cutting. Your rig looks great! I really like it.

If you can wait, i would rec. letting it sit over night. Only down side is dust getting into the mask but it may or may not make a difference. I used http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDD28&P=7 I've heard there are better ones out there but this was what was available at the hobby store i was at the time so i picked it up. Its a small bottle but crawler bodies are normally cut down so small its plenty. I could prob. do another body with whats left in the bottle. |

the bob dively liquid masking is the bomb. i agree with tank let it sit over night. i cant even explain how many paintjobs ive messed up by trying to rush the masking film. the dust has never afected anything i do because it seems to stick to the liquid masking film and comes off when the film is peeled off, just try and hit it with a quick blow of air or a paint brush so everything that is loose falls off. ive been painting on the masking film and then turning the body upside down lately just to avoid any possibility of the dust getting in the paint
