Default How long is too long on the drying and masks?

Ok, I work nights and usually only get a hour or 2 to work on my rig during the week. I need to get a body painted and am not sure how long is too long for the first coat of paint and masks to sit.

Can I mask and spray the first coat then wait 24 hours for the second or will the mask start to pull up too much if I wait? What about the paint itself, does it need to get the 2nd and 3rd coat before the first is completely dry?

Yeah, I know I can do it quickly but would rather take my time with it. This is also because I am painting inside and trying to give it a little before I spray again.

Its lexan.

the best tape is the easy release painters tape at lowe's or home depot .You could leave it on for days and it will not pull the paint but since your taking your time your coat's will be thin so dont worry its heavy coats that pull up with tape. And if your still not sure take a razor and cut were the tape line is.I have faith in ya

I am not sure much worried about the tape pulling the paint.

I have noticed that sometimes when I paint a body, the mask edge will try to curl up a little from the paint. I wasn't sure if it only did it a little, or if left on for more than a day, it would pull back too far.

You might want to try liquid mask. It won't curl and can be left on for a few days.
