There is a citrus based called Citreaze(sp), that would probably work really well. I have used it on various polymers and it has done nothing to the plastics.

I've stripped a few hard bodies with Easy-Off (yellow top). works quite well, may require a couple applications depending on the piants used.
It won't harm the plastic (I've done both styrene and ABS bodies with it)

Automotive brake fluid(DOT3) stripped the paint off my Blackfoot extreme body without harming it. If you do try brake fluid, though, wear gloves(it will dry out your hands), use in a well ventilated area(very strong smell), and don't use on chrome or transparent parts(it will fog them).
