you can use Krylon paint, but I have seen it flake off. you need an adhesion promoter. Like http://www.wmbarr.com/product.aspx?catid=1&prodid=56 |

Could I sand it with 220 grit or higher and not have too much opaqueness in the lexan and no flakeage? Man I hate the painting of a build |

Use some masking tape inside for the windows and get some greenpads from the grocery store. walmart has them in the cleaning area. scuff the body really well and paint. Plkastic paint doesnt fill gaps as well as a diluted type of lexan paint, but you should barely notice the differance in the color. Dont you have a hobby shop nar you? |

I've used Dupli-Color on a couple occasions, but you have have to use their adheasion promoter first to get it to stick to the body, otherwise the paint flakes right back off on impact. You may want to scuff up the shell some with anywhere from 400 or more grit sandpaper. Believe it or not, two of the best Lexan compatable paints I've found are Mopar Parts Spray Touch Up paint from the dealerships as well as Model Master's 2-Stage spray lacquers. Both paints bond to the Lexan with little to no more effort than the Pactra Lacquers do and take some pretty severe beatings too You do want to use a resperator with the Mopar stuff though, it's got some pretty nasty stuff in it! I'm kinda surprised it doesn't melt the lexan and will not get near styrene plastic with stuff without an excelent primer/sealer/barrier type material already on the plastic |

| to answer this question NO, our hobby shop shut down awhile ago (sucks a lot), and the closest one is 45min away but they dont like crawlers. yes drew you can, but use a plastics paint or automotive paint, and scuff the body with a scotch pad |

I have used regular cheap paint on my RC body but I also use it on my 1:1 poly carb hood and side panels. It does really well on my RC and on my 1:1 if it chips you just paint it again and you cant tell. That is if it is a solid color.
