Default Dingo Resurrection..

So with my SCX10-TR on a rebuild schedule and a new body in the works, I decided to update my Dingo body for my HPI Crawler King. The Jeep Rubicon body the King came with has seen better days thanks to the thrashing my son gave it and with the Radio Shack F-150 body in need of some repairs; I decided to put the Axial Dingo on the King.

The first thing I did was cut out the rear panel section of the body. This gives the King room to flex the rear tires with out gripping the body. Then it occurred to me that the fender flares would make great inner fender wells for the King. So I took the flares out of storage and slapped them on backwards. I think this is an easy way to get some fender wells. The only draw back is the screw heads on the fenders. I like the ghetto back woods look I get from it so that’s fine for me.

In the next post, I will have the rear flap of the Dingo customized with a rear bumper and gas tank. With such a gap in the rear of the King I am able to make some cool scale stuff for under the body which I have never done. I hope you like what I’ve done so far. Any questions/suggestions let me know!

In the first picture, what's the third vehicle (the red one)? It sort of looks like a Vette.

Yea, the red Vette is on my first scale build. I turned my cliff climber into a framed vehicle. TCS Trail-X chassis is what I used. It has had many changes and it's the liitle RC that could. But it's fun. It has 1.9's on it now and the body I believe will be an F-150 soon. Not sure, it's in the back for now.
