Hi everybody, I am considering getting one of Tamiya's Ford F350 High Lift hardbodys for an Axial SCX10 Scale build. My questions are: 1) What is the wheelbase (measured from the centers of the wheel arches)? 2) What is the width? 3) How does the bed attach to the cab? 4) What Tamiya parts sets are needed to complete the body (bumpers, roll bar, etc)? Thanks in advance! |

But if fits perfectly onto the SCX10 chassis without modification(the body has the same wheelbase as the chassis). 2) What is the width? I can measure this for you tonight. On the stock flatiron tires the SCX10 comes with, the sides of the body come out to about the middle of the tire width. 3) How does the bed attach to the cab? The bed and cab attach by two bolts. I bolted them together using washers on the bolts and nuts and I also used gorrilla glue around where the bed and cab bolt together to provide extra support and to prevent the possibility of any cracking from rollovers. I have rolled the truck 3 times now with no cracking at all so I feel that this secures them well. 4) What Tamiya parts sets are needed to complete the body (bumpers, roll bar, etc)? You will need the cab/bed set, the bumpers set, the window piece, the grill set, the sticker set, and the headlight/taillight lens set. I believe that is it. Also not that you can mount the body to the chassis without needing to have ugly bolts going in the doors of the cab. Just use velcro to mount the body to the body posts on the chassis.
