| My first paint jobs
I had some bodies I've been meaning to paint so I picked up some Faskolor and went to work. First one was a Betty Body I had laying around forever. It's going on the spare AX10. Next I painted the 300Z for my son. He found the paint scheme and I matched it. The one I did today was for my wife's SCX10. She picked the design and colors (we mixed the raspberry from pearl magenta and candy apple red) She is very happy with it. Mocked up on the frame. Need to figure out mounts now. |

Thanks guys, they're not perfect, but I learned a lot doing them. Most of the masking was with tape, but I tried some vinyl on the 300Z. It worked good but was a bear to remove, it kept tearing.

Man ford, those bods look good. I assume that since you mixed the pearl and the candy for the SCX-10 that you sprayed it with an airbrush? That's dope on a rope fo sho. When you say you used vinyl, did you use the fine-line shit or did you use precut masks? Either way, that is some clean work dude!

Thanks Guys!!! I painted everything with an airbrush, still getting the feel for it. As far as the vinyl, it was some scrap pieces from a lettering shop. I traced my pattern on it and cut it out with an exacto knife. |
